Endurance athletes need to incorporate strength training into their schedules. The strength training programs at Mission will correct or prevent muscle imbalances that can develop during sport-specific training. Over the time I’ve trained with Eric, we’ve added extra power that had a huge effect on hills and late in runs (or rides or swims). Plus, the enhanced core strength has helped me through tough stretches during training and racing. There is a reason that the pros use strength training in their regimens. Thats why I train at Mission. You will feel the difference.

I feel much more confident in my ability to simply move through the world. My husband and I do long distance walking; before Mission, I found hill work (both up and down) difficult. Prior to my knee replacement surgery, the surgeon commented on how strong my leg was and indicated this was a good sign for a faster recovery. How right he was! After surgery the true benefits of Eric’s program became very clear. Immediately after I was released from the hospital I was amazed I was able to climb the steps with few problems. My rehab lasted only about 2 1/2 weeks (mostly to gain range of motion), months faster than other patients who had received the same surgery.
