I did this same process, but luckily with a background in science, exercise physiology, nutrition, and alternative medicine, I get to research the available info and pass my educated opinions on to you! Did you know that there are many holistic strategies that can actually work wonders for helping you feel younger?Especially after you turn 40, it's essential that you have a plan for longevity, quality of life, and if you're reading this, keeping your youth as long as possible. Have you noticed that some celebrities (hint: Jennifer Lopez—she literally is gorgeous and doesn't look her age at all!) seem to age in reverse? Besides the classic anti-aging trick of skipping sugar, it's important to know that there are other ways to slow down the aging process and feel a lot younger.While there are lots of pills and supplements on the market that claim to be anti-aging miracles, using holistic techniques to improve your overall health and wellness is the BEST way to feel younger, especially after age 40.

Sleep is essential to restoring the body, being healthy, and feeling good. I have an anti-aging e-book full of great tips to improve the quality of your sleep. When we let our bodies rest and recover correctly, they are able to repair and restore different areas more rapidly. Sleep impacts everything from your digestion to your mood, so it's beyond important to be getting enough (and good quality) sleep every single night.   • Hastpadasana (Standing forward-bend): Prevents inflexibility of the spine that comes with age and energizes your nervous system
  • Adho mukha svanasana (Downward-facing dog pose): Helps with digestion and tones limbs (both of which are affected by aging)

Obviously, the foods we consume are a huge motivator in our overall health and wellness. Your diet determines how you feel. Cutting out processed foods, and adding in fresh fruits, veggies, and even superfoods rich in antioxidants can make a huge difference in how you feel.Cutting out (or cutting back on) sugar and caffeine reduce the effects of aging. Sugar and caffeine both age and dehydrate you, so make sure that if you have them, you're aware of how often and how much you're having!Beyond what you're eating, staying hydrated keeps you feeling younger! Make sure to drink enough clean water every day—it nourishes you from the inside out, keeps your skin moisturized, and makes sure that your digestive system is running smoothly.
